In the old days, contact with the admissions office was more cumbersome than it is today. There was no email, there was no social media - you couldn't get an immediate response unless you showed up to the office in person or spoke with someone on the phone. Now, with mobile devices at your fingertips 24/7, there are multiple ways of getting in touch with us.
Here is some advice:
1) Phone - Our main phone number is +1 614-292-8511. If you wish to call us, we are in Eastern Time Zone. Someone is available to answer the phone Monday through Friday from 9:00 - 5:00pm.
2) Office hours - Our office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 - 5:00pm, with the exception of campus holidays.
3) Email address - All general inquiries can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org. You should expect a response within 2 business days.
If you are emailing directly with a member of the recruiting or admissions staff, it will save you time if you can bundle all of your questions in a single message. Do not treat email like texting or instant messaging. The recruiting and admissions team will be much more willing to provide you with a timely and thorough response if you do your research online first and then send one comprehensive email with all of your questions. Of course questions may come up that you did not anticipate - this is not a problem. Just be aware that the staff is communicating with many prospective students and applicants and it will take longer for us to answer multiple emails from one person.
Do not send multiple people the same email at the same time to see who responds first. If you have not received a response to an email that you sent within a reasonable amount of time (at least 2 business days), then certainly try again or try a different contact.
4) Social Media Channels - You can keep up to date with events and activities happening around Fisher through several social media channels. Each of the graduate programs has its own Facebook and Twitter feeds and Student life Blogs in addition to the Admissions blogs (you already found those!).
