This year we introduced an optional video essay for you to complete to express your interest in being considered for any available merit-based funding opportunities. We want to hear how you will "pay it forward" if given funding from the Fisher College of Business (see more at http://fisher.osu.edu/ftmba/admissions/requirements/essays/).

Strong grades and strong test scores are the keys to generous financial aid

Posted by Alison M. on Oct 14, 2014 9:51:51 AM

As you are looking at potential business schools, I wouldn't be surprised if you were researching the opportunities for earning financial aid. Prospective MBA candidates often don't realize that it is possible to take out loans for graduate school, such as the PLUS Loans, if you are a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. The majority of you are looking for ways to minimize your out-of-pocket expenses and want to know how to qualify for scholarships, fellowships, Graduate Assistantships and any other form of aid offered to MBA students.

3 reasons why you need the GMAT or GRE

Posted by Alison M. on Oct 7, 2014 9:43:15 AM

Yes, the thought of taking a standardized test after years of being away from the classroom can certainly be daunting. We understand that you might not be the best test taker or that you have other strengths that should be able to convince us of your qualifications for business school. Yet, the responsibility of the admissions team is to evaluate whether a candidate (YOU) has the academic aptitude that is required to complete the rigorous coursework in the MBA program.

Getting ready to apply? Here is your quick checklist!

Posted by Alison M. on Aug 14, 2014 11:13:25 AM

Since we process applications on a rolling admissions basis, it is always advantageous to apply early - as applications are submitted and become complete, we will review them and make admissions and financial aid decisions. The application is now live, but we will not begin reviewing completed applications until September 2. Our first deadline is not until October 15, so you have plenty of time to get ready. Here is your quick checklist:

February 15 deadline is quickly approaching

Posted by Alison M. on Feb 11, 2014 1:28:13 PM

Our fourth application deadline is rapidly approaching, but you do still have a few more days to put the finishing touches on your application. This is the final deadline if you wish to be considered for merit-based funding, as we cannot guarantee that funding will be available to candidates who apply later in the cycle.

As a reminder, we will review your application once we have received all of your required application materials. You can expect to hear from us within 4-6 weeks of receiving a completed application. At this time, you will either receive an invitation to interview, a wait list decision or a deny decision. The status of your application will be kept up to date within the Apply Yourself application.

We look forward to reviewing your application!

Patience from applicants = happy admissions office

Posted by Rob C and Alison M on Dec 16, 2013 5:05:14 PM

As you might imagine, December is a bit busy here in the Fisher Graduate Programs Office. We have just passed a priority deadline and applicants are anxious to confirm that their materials have been received in time to be considered for admission and for financial aid.

Please keep in mind that there is manual work that has to be done to match your online application with the rest of your application materials, as it does not get updated in "real-time." Also note that it takes about 20 days from your test date for us to receive official GMAT scores (and longer if you're submitting GRE scores) and 13+ days from your test date to receive TOEFL scores.

Please wait at least five business days for your application checklist to be updated to reflect the status of your application materials received by our office.

Note, the Graduate Programs Office will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, Wednesday, December 25, and Wednesday, January 1.

We wish you a safe and happy holiday season and a happy new year!
