We are pleased to announce that our 2013 application is now live! You can take your first step towards joining the Fisher MBA Class of 2015 by submitting your online application today.
As we gear up for another exciting year of recruiting, I thought it would be nice to introduce you to the members of the MBA Recruiting and Admissions Team! This is especially important since two of our members are brand new. Today, I introduce Julee Conrad:
As we get ready to move to semesters, I thought it would be helpful to show you what you can expect from a curriculum standpoint. During the first year of the MBA program, you will focus on gaining expertise in your core business courses. Beginning in spring semester, you can enroll in a couple of elective courses to whet your appetite in a new subject matter or expand upon material that was introduced in your core coursework. Next week I will profile year 2 and give you an idea of the courses offered for a specialization in Finance. Stay tuned!
For all of you slow pokes out there who need an incentive to finish up your application and hit the "submit" button, here it is:
Even though Fisher MBA students will be resting, traveling, visiting with family and friends, etc., the Fisher Graduate Programs Office ("GPO") will be open during most of the month of December. If you need to contact us during December, please note the following:
My colleague, Julee, and I will be traveling to India on November 30 to conduct interviews with prospective Fisher candidates. First priority will go to those candidates who have already submitted applications to the Full-Time MBA program; however, if time permits we will accommodate appointments with prospective students who intend to apply by the December 15 deadline.
This weekend marked another graduation for Ohio State and the Fisher College of Business! It is hard to believe that two years have gone by since we admitted these students into the Fisher MBA program. Soon enough, one of these faces could be YOU!
Last week, the Fisher Indian Students Association ("FISA") hosted UTSAV. What is UTSAV? In FISA's own words:
UTSAV, the flagship event of the FISA, is a celebration of everything Indian: Bollywood, Bharatnatyam, Bindis and Biryani! One of the most awaited events in Spring quarter at Fisher, UTSAV showcases the talents of our very own Fisher students, be it dancing on bollywood medleys or sashaying down in beautiful Indian clothes. A fun event for both participants and the audience, finished up with sumptuous Indian food!
Luckily the weather held up. We've had a much rainier than normal spring in central Ohio and many people worried that it might get rained out. Luckily, everything worked out. The fashion show (see photo above), the Bollywood dance routines (see below), musical interludes, etc., all went without a hitch. Great time to be had by all! If you're anywhere near Fisher's campus in mid May, you need to check out UTSAV. Definitely one of the premier events on campus! You can see additional photos from UTSAV 2011 here.

All Fisher graduate students are on their well-deserved spring breaks this week. Everyone will be back on campus by next Monday (March 28). Why is this of concern to anyone who might be reading this blog post? If you have contacted the Fisher MBA Admissions Office via its email account (email@example.com), it is likely you have interacted with our MBA student ambassadors. When students are not on campus, it decreases our staffing that handles these general inquiries by at least 80%.
The firstname.lastname@example.org email account will be monitored during spring break - but it will likely not be checked as often as it normally is since the number of people to assist with the account is significantly reduced during spring break. We will be back to "normal" staffing levels next week. Until then, we thank you for your patience!
P.S. If you have anything that is urgent, you can always contact the Fisher Graduate Programs Office directly at +1-614-292-8511
