This is a quick reminder that all campus offices will be closed Thursday, November 24 through Sunday, November 27 for Thanksgiving. Offices will re-open on Monday, November 28.
The Fisher Office of Career Management recently released its 2010-11 Annual Report (linked at the bottom of this blog post). Fisher SMF students are very busy right now, working on difficult and challenging assignments, interviewing with different companies, etc. I thought this would be a good time to show you the sort of outcomes Fisher students have seen in the past year.
There are always a lot of interesting things going on at The Fisher College of Business and The Ohio State University. On October 6, the Fisher College of Business and GE Capital are sponsoring a major conference on Ohio State's campus. The National Middle Market Summit is bringing together some of the best minds in business to discuss ways to nurture "middle market" companies - smaller than large conglomerates but bigger than small companies, this is an area of business that has not been actively researched before. This conference will help to start that dialogue.
Ohio State graduated the most students ever in a single commencement ceremony on July 13, 2011. Added bonus: The weather was perfect. Mid 70s, partly cloudy, breezy!
UTSAV was everything it promised to be: colorful outfits, great music and amazing dancing! Check out my saree! For more pictures on UTSAV (and other events), be sure to check out the OSU Fisher Graduate Student Life Flickr Page. We are constantly updating the page with all fun Fisher events!
In an earlier post, I mentioned that on Thursday, May 19th, Fisher will be celebrating UTSAV! I am elated to be part of the event and I am super excited for the beautiful costume I will be wearing in the annual fashion show. Tomorrow, I will be representing the region of "Rajasthan." I put in a preview of what my get-up will look like and the beautiful saree I will wear. Wish me luck!
On Thursday, May 19th the Fisher Indian Students Association (FISA), will put on the biggest social event of the year, "UTSAV".
"UTSAV" celebrates the diversity at The Fisher College of Business. The event includes musical, Bollywood dancing and the much awaited Fashion show participated by faculty, staff and students. Delicious Indian lunch would be served parallel to the event.
